Improving Your Business with NetPlus Masterclasses

July 8, 2026 by NetPlus Alliance

The moment you think you’ve learned everything is the moment you stop growing. That’s why NetPlus is focused on promoting educational opportunities that go beyond supplier product training and into organizational progress.

This year, NetPlus is launching two exclusive virtual masterclass series for distributor members to support strategic trajectories and promote best business practices for sustainable growth and longevity.

Navigating Successful Succession Planning

The first series continues to guide members down a path to successful succession planning which we began in 2025. Led by NAVIX Consultants CEO Patrick Ungashick, each session approaches one aspect of succession planning to expertly prepare business owners to exit their businesses when and how they choose to.

In 2025, Patrick focused on creating an owner-independent organization. That series covered why that’s critical, when to start, how to begin building a plan, and what to look for in your team to ensure success. It also touched on what signals that a business is in appealing financial shape to sell, if that’s the avenue an owner is looking to take.

This May, Patrick hosted his first session of 2026 centered around preparing an effective leadership team to facilitate an effective exit strategy. We discussed how to identify the right people for leadership, how to ensure the correct people are in the best roles for them, and how to determine which roles still need to be filled.

In late September, we will close this year’s masterclass series with NAVIX with a session revolving around growth and strategic planning. Short- and long-term growth are necessary to build a lasting legacy. In this upcoming session, our community will discuss thoughtful and intentional goal setting and operational practices to put a strategic plan into action effectively.

All completed sessions are available to NetPlus members through NetPlus Academy. Log in to BlueVolt to access those recordings and review the materials.

Mastering Strategic Inventory Management

Our second masterclass series will cover best practices for profitable inventory management. This more intensive series will guide a limited group of distributor members through a progressive series with Effective Inventory Management, Inc. Founder Jon Schreibfeder. The series finale will feature an in-person Educational Breakout Session at the 2026 Annual Meeting, open to the entire NetPlus community.

In three sessions from mid-September to mid-October, Jon will lead members to explore what inventory to stock, effective forecasting, strategic timing, and optimal profitability. The program will include work between sessions to drive applicable actions each participating business can take toward improved inventory practices. Depending on the make-up of the group, Jon will customize the following session topics to best fit the needs of the distributors involved.

The first session will introduce the goal of the series and simplify a process to determine which products to stock for peak profitability. Equipped with an effective ranking system and good product data, businesses will better understand which products to prioritize and how to add new products intelligently.

The next session could dive into demand forecasting, covering consistent and accurate inventory recording, measuring forecast accuracy, common forecasting methods, and how or when each should be used. Jon will also provide guidance on how to forecast inventory needs for new and sporadic products.

Another session might feature lessons for buyers on mastering the aspect of timing for inventory management. Participants will learn how to calculate accurate parameters for replenishing stock, optimal minimum and maximum stock levels, points for action within the buying cycle, and strategic safety stock levels to ensure excellent customer service.

Finally, one session in the series may focus in on optimizing profitability. In this workshop, we will discuss ordering economically in terms of quantities and other special opportunities, as well as practical Distribution Requirements Planning. Distributors will also identify their respective businesses’ ideal inventory investments and potential turnover rates.

Jon’s Annual Meeting session opportunities will be geared toward management and sales professionals, covering highlights that will benefit those who have been through the masterclass in addition to everyone who has not. The session will zero in on aspects that affect customer service like fill rates and monitoring stockouts, insights into turnover, turn/earn index, return on investment, and what to do with excess stock and dead inventory. The in-person session will also empower members to plan looking forward, covering future purchase projections, budgeting, and effective goal and milestone setting to achieve targeted growth.
