Keynote Preview: Leadership Insights from the New World of Work

The industrial distribution industry is facing unprecedented change, from the makeup of the workforce to the transforming role of technology.

“What’s at stake if you don’t adapt to these changes?” asks Seth Mattison, who will be the keynote presenter at the 2016 NetPlus Alliance Annual Meeting this fall. The Chief Movement Officer for FutureSight Labs will speak on “The Future of Work: Leadership Insights from the New World of Work.”

Based on more than a decade of research, Mattison will discuss how the more traditional top-down leadership typically practiced by the Baby Boomer generation is giving way to a more connected, collaborative and flexible approach to managing people and performance, more commonly embraced by Millennials.

But this won’t be your typical generations presentation. Mattison says it’s time to stop merely trying to decipher the generations. Instead, companies need to go a step further to bridge and embrace generational differences to map out a plan for the company’s future with everyone on board. His keynote presentation will include practical insights and actionable advice on doing just that.

This year’s keynote is especially relevant to NetPlus Alliance members who want to attract and retain the best talent to ensure sustainable growth beyond the tenure of the executive team.

The NetPlus annual meeting is Oct. 2-4, 2016, in San Antonio, TX. Learn more.
